It looks like I'm still learning about one of life's rules. They say that laughter makes the world go round, so I need to say "Never, ever take yourself too seriously" and create some laughter as an important way of interacting.
It doesn't need to be earth-earth-shattering, but becoming more youthful certainly requires bending with life, coupled with an ability to adapt and leave room for happiness to follow.
Some advice received from a friend was happiness is an inside job. She said "If I get down in the dumps, I look in the mirror and remind myself I'm just about as happy as I make up my mind to be!"
As an elder, I must admit that I've tended to become more rigid with age, yet need to hold onto the belief that I can overcome whatever life hands out.
AlI I need to do about it is smile, smile, smile!
